The Dogs of Riga: A Kurt Wallander Mystery (2)

The Dogs of Riga - Henning Mankell, Laurie Thompson I enjoyed the book the storyline was interesting although the premise that a Swedish Police Inspector would become effectively a secret agent investigating corruption in Latvia I found rather far fetched - particularly as he seemed to have a pretty flaky reason for doing it and had no official support in either Country. However, Kurt Wallander is a three dimensional literary character and the reader is drawn in to caring how he fairs in his life.I prefer him when he is in his proper Swedish environment fighting crime in his own country.
